RYC on Spacing.ca

RateYourCouncillor was recently featured on Spacing.ca, a blog and magazine "that focuses on the joys, obstacles, and politics of Toronto's urban landscape."  As a Toronto resident, Spacing is an excellent blog that I read daily.

One of their bloggers, Adam Chaleff-Freudenthaler, wrote:

A web site called RateYourCouncillor.com recently started up and it wants you to, you guessed it, rate your councillor.

While unclear who or what is behind the site, it allows you to pass judgment on your representatives at city hall based on three criteria: whether you would re-elect the councillor, the councillor’s responsiveness to constituents and the councillor’s communication with constituents. For the mayor, it substitutes the communication section for vision (in my opinion, both have a place on each politician’s report card).

The post also mentions Toronto Councillor Shelly Carroll has a link to RYC on her facebook page, however, I had problems loading the link and it appears to be broken right now. In any event, its nice to see RYC getting picked up around the web.  Please help spread the word!
